Acetone: a solvent considered to be noncomedogenic. It is occasionally used in skin toner but it is drying and could potentially be very irritating to the skin with frequent use. Also used to remove nail polish. Beware: high levels of acetone are toxic.

Ingedients from A-Z: Know what's in Your Skin Care Products
Acacia - anti-inflammatory agent commonly used in old-time remedies, although it may cause skin rashes due to allergies. In extract form it is recommended for dry, delicate and sensitive skin types. This dried gummy sap from the stems and branches of various species of African acacia trees is also used as a vegetable gum for product thickening.
